Any chance we get to photograph a wedding in Savannah is a good one, and this happened to be our first wedding there. Megan and Jason were wed in autumn of 2016 (I am desperately behind on blogging) and we loved every bit of their day. They rented one of the largest houses I’ve ever seen, had an intimate ceremony in one of Savannah’s many historical squares, and were surrounded by their closest friends and family to celebrate their union. It was an extremely emotional day, and anyone who was there could feel and see the love from this couple and between these families. Karlyn and I want to thank them for inviting us to be a part of their day.
They took the time to answer some questions for us:
How did you meet?
We met at a party while we both attended the University of Florida.
Who proposed and how?
Jason proposed while we were on vacation in Asheville, North Carolina. He kept fidgeting with his camera- which I thought was super annoying instead of walking around and enjoying the mountain views. 🙂 Then, he asked my best friend to take one more photo of us. When she did (to everyone’s surprise) he knelt down on one knee and proposed.
How did you decide on the location of your wedding?
We always loved visiting Savannah while living in Jacksonville. We thought it would be a romantic venue for a wedding.
What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
Marrying the love of my life. :). We had so much fun with our friends and family throughout the weekend.
What is the best piece of advice you have for couples who are planning their weddings?
To have fun and not stress. Not everything will be perfect but you will have each other and that’s what matters. And remember that your best friends will always come through for you when you face adversity.
